Escaping Limbo

Submission for the 2026 Godot XR game jam. Escaping limbo is a puzzle game where you are given one chance to earn your freedom. Use the clues available throughout the room to select the correct key for your escape, and leverage the power of the room's chronometer to rewind time and gain an advantage.

Running this Game

VR headset required. Tested using Meta Quest 3 on device and through Virtual Desktop. Download and extract the escaping-limbo-vr.zip archive, then run the .exe executable file in Windows. Alternatively, sideload the escaping-limbo-vr.apk directly onto the device and run directly.

Puzzle Solution:

The correct key is randomly selected on game start and when the room is rewound to the start. To find all the hints to eliminate the false keys, select and highlight the lines below:

• The game starts at noon (12:00 PM)
• Rewind the clock to just before 10:00 AM. View the TV display to see two guys talking about the room setup. They will mention one of the false keys.
• Watch the commercials on the TV display throughout the day. There are 5 commercials that will cycle through on a repeating pattern.
  • Two commercials will each mention one false key.
  • Two commercials will tell you about phone numbers which you can call for additional hints.
  • One commercial will give you a hint about the psychic hotline
• Call the number for the psychic hotline. Note that if you call before 6:00 PM, she will only give you a hint one at a time, so multiple calls are needed. Also, for calls made before 6:00 PM, despite sounding positive, the keys mentioned on the call are actually fakes.
• Call the number for the locksmith between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and they will tell you about 3 of the false keys.
